MiniStays Service Fees

To help MiniStays run smoothly and to cover the cost of services like customer support, operations, and managing transactions, we charge a service fee when payments are made.

How Fees Work

MiniStays uses a transparent processing markup to cover payment processing costs through Stripe.

Guest Fees

Guests pay a processing markup of 2.9% + $0.30 on each payment. This covers the Stripe transaction cost and is displayed clearly during checkout before you book. The markup applies to the booking subtotal (monthly rate and any additional fees charged by the host, such as cleaning or pet fees).

Host Fees

It’s free to list your property on MiniStays. Hosts receive their full payout amount — the processing markup is covered by the guest.

Refunds and Processing Fees

The processing fee is included in refund calculations. If a guest receives a 100% refund of their security deposit, the full amount including processing fees is refunded. Partial refunds are calculated on the deposit amount.

VAT Charges

Value-Added Tax (VAT), or Goods and Services Tax (GST), is a consumption tax assessed on most supplies of goods or services. In some jurisdictions, VAT/GST may apply to our service fees. For more information on VAT in the EU, visit the Taxation and Customs Union.
